–The 2024 Kossuth County Fair officially kicked off Tuesday with the Fair Parade and Pageant, as this year’s Fair Royalty was crowned. Meredith Tigges of Fenton was selected as this year’s Kossuth County Fair Queen, and following the formal announcement, she told KLGA News she was still in shock.
Tigges is currently a student at Iowa State University in Ames and is a graduate of Bishop Garrigan High School.
Serving as Fair Queen means handing out awards at all sorts of shows throughout the week.
Tigges will also represent Kossuth County at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines.
Along with Tigges serving as the Queen, the rest of the fair royalty consists of the Junior Miss, Malea Divis of Algona, the Princess, Rilyn Tuttle of LuVerne, the Little Miss, Kaylee Ruby of Algona, and the Little Princess, Ava Berg of Lakota.
