–Republican party candidates at federal, state, and local level will be in Algona this weekend for an event at the Wilcox Performing Arts Center. GOP party officials from Kossuth, Emmet, Hancock, Humboldt, Palo Alto, and Winnebago counties have collaborated to host the “North Iowa Republican Round Up” Saturday afternoon. Barb Black serves as Secretary for the Kossuth County Republicans, and she tells KLGA News that local officials cooked up this idea as a way to inform voters ahead of the June 2nd primary.

The event will be moderated by Tamara Scott, who serves as the National Committee Woman for the Iowa Republican Party.

Republican candidates for US House and Senate, Governor, Attorney General, Auditor, and Ag Secretary will be in attendance, along with those seeking seats in the Iowa House and Senate. The event is being held inside the Wilcox Performing Arts Center on the campus of Algona High School. Doors will open at 1 PM, with the forum set to begin at 2 PM.
