–The report of a stolen vehicle in rural Palo Alto County earlier this week ended with a Curlew man facing a felony charge.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received the report of a possible stolen vehicle being in the Curlew area just after 8 PM Wednesday. When Deputies responded to the area, they were able to locate the vehicle in the 4500 block of 390th Avenue, about 4 miles NW of Curlew.
After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 60-year-old Shayne Jay Broderson of Curlew on a charge of 1st Degree Theft a class C Felony. Along with the theft charge, Broderson was also taken into custody on a warrant out of Dallas County for Operating without Owner’s Consent, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
Broderson was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
