Swea City Man Arrested for Violating Probation

–A Swea City man was taken into custody this week after allegedly violating terms of his probation.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies transported 56-year-old Jamie Concepcion Esparza from the Emmet County Jail Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest last week.

Court records show that Esparza was arrested in Emmet County on May 5^th on a charge of driving while barred and was given a drug test, which came back positive for methamphetamine.

Esparaza received a 5-year suspended prison sentence and 3-years of probation in 2024 after pleading guilty to a charge of 3^rd Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony.

Esparaza was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
