–A Minnesota woman was severely injured after flipping her motorcycle along U.S. Highway 169 in northern Kossuth County earlier this week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Ashra Marie Three Trees of Mankato, Minnesota was southbound on Highway 169 on a 2002 Honda motorcycle around 9AM on Monday (June 29th).
Officials are not certain what caused Three Trees to lose control of the motorcycle northeast of Ledyard, but the accident report states that she entered the west ditch and then overcorrected in an attempt to get back on the road surface, which flipped the bike.
Three Trees was taken by Air Ambulance to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City with what were described as incapacitating injuries.
Damage to her motorcycle was estimated at $8,000.
