Kanawha Man Cited Following 2-Vehicle Crash Near Lone Rock

–No injuries were reported following a 2-vehicle collision at an uncontrolled intersection near Lone Rock last week.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 78-year-old Joseph Ringsdorf was traveling northbound along 80^th Avenue in a 2018 Freightliner Semi around 12:15 PM on Wednesday, September 16^th. The accident report states that as Ringsdorf entered the intersection with 300^th Street, 2 miles southeast of Lone Rock, he was struck broadside by a 2008 Chevy Silverado, driven by 44-year-old David Martinez Bautista of Kanawha.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision and did not report any injuries.

Martinez Bautista was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way at an Uncontrolled Intersection and Driving without a Valid License.

Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $15,000.
