–A Wesley man is facing 2 counts of assault after allegedly assaulting one of his children last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in Titonka just after 8 PM last Wednesday. Following a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 51-year-old Shane Eugene McNaughton of Wesley on 2 counts of Assault with Intent to Cause Pain or Injury, a Simple Misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges that McNaughton shoved and struck his daughter prior to law enforcement being called. The complaint also alleges McNaughton struck a juvenile who was present at the time.
McNaughton was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. A no contact order has also been issued to prevent McNaughton from having any contact with the alleged victims in the case.
