Bishop Garrigan junior Audi Crooks is staying in the state of Iowa. The school’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder will join the Iowa State Cyclones after her high school basketball career wraps up, as Crooks announced her commitment earlier today during a ceremony at Bishop Garrigan high school.

Crooks, who was rated as the ESPN #58 recruit in the class of 2023, chose from a top 5 that included Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Oklahoma in addition to the Cyclones. Iowa State was a natural fit according to Crooks.

Even though the recruiting process was something Crooks considered to be a blessing, she is happy to have it wrapped up.

Crooks joins a 2023 Cyclone recruiting class that already has two ESPN top 50 recruits committed with Addyson Brown from Derby Senior High School in Kansas and Jalynn Bristow from Rider High School in Texas.  The junior is confident she will bring a lot to the Cyclone program.

Crooks unveiled her selection with a setup that included Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota gear laying on the table in front of her. She then announced she wasn’t going to any of those schools and unzipped her jacket, revealing an Iowa State shirt.

Iowa State is coming off a season that saw them advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2010, finishing with a record of 28-7, including 14-4 in the Big 12.
