–Area residents are invited to participate in an event for all ages Saturday afternoon in downtown Algona. Algona Chamber of Commerce Director Vicki Mallory spoke with KLGA’s Al Lauck about the “Last Call before Fall”event that is being held instead of the “Taste of Algona”. 

Mallory says they will get things started with a fun event for those of any age. 

The “Chalk the Walk” will go from 3-4PM, and then Mallory says they have a host of events that will be running from 4-7 PM. 

Mallory says they also have some live entertainment lined up as well. 

The festivities will wrap up Saturday evening with a free screening of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” that will be shown on the Video Board at Bulldog Stadium, beginning at 7:45 PM.
