Revolving Loan Fund programs boost local businesses

Two Algona businesses were recently granted revolving loan funds fromt he City of Algona to jumpstart their retail business plans. The Cultivate Family shop and Top Dog Brewing each received loan funds through the City of Algona, in addition to support from other local organizations. Cultivate Family Shop was approved for a $15,000 loan and $31,250 throught the Algona Municipal Utilities Revolving Loan Fund. Mandy Arthur, owner and operator of Cultivate Family Shop opened on January 23rd in Algona. Top Dog Brewing was approved for a $10,000 revolving loan through the City of Algona. Ben Gatton is the owner of Top Dog Brewing and expects to pour the first glass this spring inside the Axe House in Algona. \
