–A Clarion man was taken into custody last week in Kossuth County and is facing a felony charge in connection with an alleged incident from 2020.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies transported and arrested 30-year-old Steven Alan Sawyer last week on a Kossuth County Warrant for 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse.
Online court records show a criminal complaint was filed March 13th, charging Sawyer with 2nd degree Sexual Abuse, a Class B Felony, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred on January 1st of 2020.
Sawyer was booked into the Kossuth County Jail, and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing this afternoon in Kossuth County District Court. A no contact order has also been issued, to prevent Sawyer from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
