–A traffic stop near Swea City Monday evening resulted in the arrests of two Winnebago County residents.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted the traffic stop in the rural Swea City area just after 7:30 PM Monday. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 56-year-old Jeffrey Michael Cable of Thompson on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine-1st offense, a serious misdemeanor while also citing him for driving without valid registration.
Deputies also arrested 38-year-old Ashley Ann Haar of Thompson, and charged her with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Both Cable and Haar were booked into the Kossuth County Jail before posting bond. Online court records show Cable is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on June 1st. Haar is scheduled to have a non-jury trial on August 4th.
