–The Algona Police Reserve Unit is accepting applications for volunteer officers through the police reserve program.
Reserves are trained volunteers who support the regular operations of the Algona Police Department by assisting with weekend patrols, emergencies, special events and other situations that require additional law enforcement personnel. The reserve unit is affiliated with the Algona Police Department and directed by Assistant Chief Marc Bacha.
Individuals interested in serving as a police reserve may apply at the Law Enforcement Center in downtown Algona, as applications will be accepted through June 1st.
