Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges for Swea City Man

–A traffic stop late last week in Northern Kossuth County has resulted in multiple charges being filed against a Swea City man.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Swea City around 11:45 PM on Thursday, July 20^th. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested the driver, identified as 57-year-old David Wayne Braun.

Braun is facing a charge of OWI 2^nd Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, along with one count of Interference with Official Acts, a Simple Misdemeanor.

Online court records show Braun is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on August 10^th.
