–An event that had to be postponed from Founder’s Day weekend has been rescheduled for this Sunday. The car Cruise-In had been scheduled for the early evening hours of July 7th, but it was pushed back by the threat of rain. Organizer Tom Nugent spoke with the Algona City Council following the postponement.
Nugent told the council that they wanted to reschedule, rather than simply cancel the event, because they had sponsors this year and musical entertainment lined up. In an interview with KLGA’s Al Lauck, Nugent says they’ll try again this weekend.
If you have any vehicle that you would like to show off, you can bring it to downtown Algona on Sunday, with the event running from 1-4 PM.
