–A Ledyard man is facing a pair of assault charges following an alleged incident late last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a residence in Ledyard around 4:30 PM Thursday following a call for assistance. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation and arrested 61-year-old John William Allen.
Allen is facing 2 counts of Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
Allen was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online court records show Allen is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on August 21st.
Court records also show a no contact order has been issued to prevent Allen from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
