Emmetsburg Man Charged Following Chase with Law Enforcement

–A Palo Alto County man is facing a felony charge after leading law enforcement on a chase through parts of northern Iowa and southern Minnesota late last week.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies were notified by law enforcement officials from Martin County Minnesota that they were involved in the pursuit of a vehicle around 1:15PM on last Thursday (8/10). Palo Alto County Deputies responded to the 5200 block of 310th Street, about 6 miles west of Fenton, where the pursuit ended.

Following the pursuit, Deputies arrested the driver, identified as 40-year-old Jeromy Todd Beyer of Emmetsburg. Beyer is being charged in Iowa with Eluding at Speeds 25 MPH over the Speed Limit, a Class D Felony.

Beyer was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance. He will also face charges in Martin County Minnesota, and will await extradition.
