–Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is making a swing through northern Iowa this weekend, including a stop in Algona on Saturday.
Desantis and his wife Casey will stop by the Algona VFW Saturday morning at 9:15, as part of a bus tour organized by the Never Back Down political action committee.
On Thursday, Desantis held an event at the Field of Dreams near Dyersville, before heading to far northwest Iowa for an event in Rock Rapids on Friday.
After his stop in Algona, Desantis will head to Hancock County for an event Saturday afternoon in Garner.
In a recent Des Moines Register Iowa poll, Desantis received 19% support from respondents, which was second to former President Donald Trump who had 42% support amongst likely GOP caucus goers.
