–The Stinson Prairie Arts Council is hosting an event at the Carnegie Library Sunday afternoon, offering the public a chance to see some of the work that has gone on inside the facility and a chance to see some new art work that will be on display. Spokesperson Amy Frankl-Brandt tells KLGA News that they have obtained some paintings from a descendant of the men who found Algona.

Frankl-Brandt says they had to travel across the country to bring these paintings back to Algona.

There will also be some new works from an Iowa artist that were obtained by local collector Jason Noteboom.

Frankl-Brandt says they are excited to show off the new pieces of art, along with the Carnegie itself.

The event runs Sunday from 4-5:30 PM and is completely free and open to the public. Some light refreshments will also be served.
