–The Algona Police Officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty last week will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

The service for Officer Kevin Cram will begin at 10:30 AM inside the Algona High School Gymnasium, with doors opening at 9AM. Members of the public wishing to attend should approach the building from the North, on Sample Street, and will be directed where to park when they get close to the school.

Law Enforcement Officers are being directed to approach the school from Chubb Street, just south of the building, and will be directed on where to park when they get closer.

The family and selected members of Law Enforcement will be attending a PRIVATE graveside service following the ceremony. The PUBLIC is encouraged to line the processional route to show their support for the fallen officer.

The processional will leave Algona heading east on McGregor Road. It will then head south on County Road P60 for two miles, before turning east again on County Road B46, where it will travel through St. Benedict. The processional will then turn South on County Road R14 for 3 miles, and then turn east again on County Road B55, traveling to the final stop in Corwith.
