Emmetsburg Man Facing Charges in Two Counties

–A Palo Alto County man is facing charges in two counties after being taken into custody earlier this week.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies arrested 45-year-old Joshua James just after 10:30 PM Sunday on a valid arrest warrant for probation violation. James was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)-3^rd offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving while Suspended.

While conducting their investigation, Deputies also learned that James had an active arrest warrant in Kossuth County for failure to appear on a drug possession charge.

James was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
