–Iowa Lakes Community College will host an open house at their Center for Excellence for Veteran Students Success in Emmetsburg early next month. Tim Ireland serves as the Veterans Center Director for Iowa Lakes, and he tells KLGA News they received money from the US Department of Education to improve these facilities.
Ireland says part of the grant money is being used to make sure these students are succeeding.
Ireland says they have a couple of programs that seem to attract Veterans.
The open house is scheduled Friday, November 3rd from 9-11 AM on the Emmetsburg campus. The event is open to the public, as light refreshments will be served. If you would like more information about the event or the support Iowa Lakes offers to Veterans, contact Ireland by calling 712-852-5284.
