–A traffic stop in Algona Monday afternoon ended with drug charges being filed against an area man.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted the traffic stop in Algona just after 2 PM Monday. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 45-year-old John Lee Schoenwetter of West Bend.
Schoenwetter is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd or subsequent offense, a Class D Felony, as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Schoenwetter was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
