–An Algona teen was cited following a 1-vehicle accident along Orton Road late last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Levi Pattison was southbound on Orton Road around 4:45 PM on Friday, May 10th, when he lost control of the 2008 Audi AS6 he was driving and left the roadway. Upon leaving the roadway, Pattison’s vehicle collided with an embankment and ended up in the west ditch.
The accident report states that Pattison later admitted to law enforcement that he was exceeding the speed limit at the time of the crash. He was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Careless Driving.
Pattison reported minor injuries but he was not transported from the scene.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $15,000.
