–The annual Founder’s Day Celebration is quickly approaching, and organizers say there is still room to participate in an event they are bringing back from last year. Joanne Roepke Bode serves as the Communications Manager for the City of Algona, and she spoke with the City Council during their meeting this week about the “World Food Festival”
Roepke Bode says they are hoping for a wide variety of vendors to take part on Saturday, July 13th.
While organizers are bringing the event back for a second year, Roepke Bode says they are making one change to try and make things more enjoyable for everyone.
The “World Food Festival” will be held from 4-9 PM on Saturday, July 13th at Veteran’s Park, with the food served from 4-7 PM while supplies last. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Those interested in being a vendor can contact the Algona Chamber of Commerce office by calling 515-295-7201.
