–As the holiday season approaches, the Algona Parks and Recreation Department is offering area youngsters a chance to hear directly from jolly old St. Nick.
City officials say special arrangements have been made with workers at the North Pole for Santa Claus to make phone calls to children aged 7 and younger next week. All parents need to do is fill out a registration form that is available at city hall online at www.algonaiowa.gov.
Registration forms need to be filled out before Monday, December 2nd, as the calls will be made on Tuesday, December 3rd beginning at 6 PM.
