–The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department has a new Deputy as Tyler Harmon was officially sworn in during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. Sheriff Roger Fisher says allowing applicants from outside the county helped them attract Harmon.
Along with returning the Department to a full staffing level, Fisher says bringing Harmon on board comes with an added benefit.
The department has been operating short staffed for nearly six months after a pair of deputies took jobs with other law enforcement agencies and another retired earlier this year.
