–An Algona woman has won a top prize in a scratch game through the Iowa Lottery.
Lottery officials announced Friday that Cynthia Allum won the 2nd top prize of $50,000 in the lottery’s “Cyclone” scratch game.
Allum purchased the winning ticket at the Akron Stop along Highway 18 in Algona, and claimed the prize at the lottery’s regional headquarters in Mason City.
The “Cyclone” scratch game features Iowa State’s logo and the Cyclones classic Cardinal and Gold colors. It is a $5 game that features eight top prizes of $50,000.
