ISP Wants Drivers to Slow Down

–Officials with the Iowa State Patrol are working to reduce the number of drivers who are traveling at speeds over 100 MPH on the state’s roadways. Trooper Paul Gardner tells KLGA News that traveling at high speeds is dangerous on many levels.

Gardner says they began noticing an uptick in drivers clocked at over 100 MPH during the COVID pandemic.

The State Patrol is working with local law enforce agencies to reduce speeds on Iowa’s Highways, in an effort to keep traffic related fatalities under 300 for the year.
