–A Physical Therapy business set to open this spring is the latest recipient of funding through the Algona Area Economic Development Corporation’s Algona Advantage Program and the City of Algona’s Small Business Revolving loan fund. Evolve Physical Therapy will feature Dr. Audrey Finer, who came to Algona in 2015, and currently provides services through Walker Chiropractic & Wellness. John Bilsten serves of President of the AAEDC, and he tells KLGA News that they started the Algona Advantage Program in 2023.
Bilsten says they hope more businesses will look into the program if they would like to make some upgrades or even expand locally.
The Algona Advantage Program has been around for a little over a year, and Bilsten says they are pleased with the results and participation thus far from area businesses.
Along with the $5,000 loan from the AAEDC, Evolve Physical Therapy will receive a $20,000 revolving loan from the City of Algona. The new facility will be located at 714 E. State Street and will feature three private exam rooms, a gym and wellness area, along with a pediatric specific room.
