–A Clay County teen was taken into custody by Law Enforcement officials in Palo Alto County late last week following an alleged incident earlier this month.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies located and arrested 18-year-old Mitchell Roy Myers of Dickens on Wednesday, February 26th around 4:30 PM.
Court records show that a pair of criminal complaints were filed by the Emmetsburg Police Department on February 25th, charging Myers with Willful Injury causing Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony, and Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness, a Serious Misdemeanor. The criminal complaints stem from an incident that allegedly occurred on February 17th.
Myers was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Court records also show a no contact order has been issued to prevent Myers from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
