A group of local economic development organizations and leaders will host their second annual Algona Business and Community Forum later this month. Algona Municipal Utilities General Manager John Bilsten serves as President of the Algona Area Economic Development Corporation, and he tells KLGA News they will use the forum to provide updates on their efforts to local business leaders.
These groups came together last year to host this forum, and Bilsten says it provided a chance for business leaders to voice their concerns.
Bilsten says they had 60 participants last year and are hopeful that they can top the number this year.
The Algona Business and Community Forum will be held on Thursday, April 17th from 7:30-9AM at the Tietz Entrepreneurial Center on the Algona Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College. While preregistration is not required, you can get more information on the event by contacting the Algona Chamber of Commerce Office at 515-295-7201 or email info@algona.org.
