–The Algona City Council approved street closures for this summer’s Party in the Park events during their meeting on Monday. The family-friendly nights are scheduled in June, July and August, with the first set for June 4th at the corners of Dodge and Nebraska Streets in downtown Algona. Amy Whitacre with the Algona Chamber of Commerce says there will be one slight change for this year’s festivities.
Each night has a specific theme, and Whitacre says the first event in June is SOS Night, for Service Over Self.
Whitacre says the July and August events will have plenty of fun activities for the entire family.
