–An Algona man who was wanted on charges in multiple counties across Iowa was taken into custody late last week in Humboldt County.
According to the Humboldt Police Department, officers received a tip on Friday that 24-year-old Zayden Ryan Moe was at a residence in Humboldt, and after running a quick check, found he was wanted on charges in Kossuth, Story, and Black Hawk counties.
Officers and Deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate Moe around 12:30 PM Friday and took him into custody after he attempted to flea through a window and escape on foot. Sheriff’s Deputies used their K9 Officer Rooster to help apprehend Moe safely.
In Kossuth County he is wanted on 5 mittimus warrants for violating a no contact order. In Story County, he is wanted for a probation violation on an original charge of control of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender. In Black Hawk County, he is wanted for failing to appear on charges of violating his probation for domestic abuse charges.
During the arrest, Officers learned of assaults that had allegedly been committed by Moe the night before. They also found pill bottles containing controlled substances.
Along with the outstanding warrants, Moe is now facing charges in Humboldt County of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, 2 Counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Interference with Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury and False Imprisonment.
He was booked into the Humboldt County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
