–Iowa Lakes Community College is expanding academic opportunities for students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree with new transfer majors beginning this fall. Kyle Norris serves as Executive Dean for Iowa Lakes, and he tells KLGA News these new transfer options reflect student demand and workforce trends across the state and nation.
These new transfer majors include Agriculture Business, Agronomy, Animal Science, Communications, English, Political Science, and Social Work. Norris says these additions mean more students can save money by starting their education close to home.
Norris says that adding these transfer majors takes a collaborative effort between schools across the state.
These new transfer majors will be available beginning in the fall semester of 2025.
