–Members of the Swea City RAGBRAI committee held an informational meeting for community members this week as they gear up for bike riders from around the country to pass through in July. Janet Deim is part of the organizing committee, and she tells KLGA News they had a great turnout Tuesday evening.
Deim says they will continue to use social media to let people know what needs to be done before RAGBRAI arrives.
That theme harkens back to Swea City history from 85 years ago.
Riders will be coming through Swea City on Tuesday, July 22nd when they ride from Estherville to Forest City. The route will see them travel through Armstrong before getting to Swea City. Riders will wind their way from Swea City to Bancroft and then Titonka, Woden, and Crystal Lake before making it to their resting spot for the night.
