–The Algona Chamber of Commerce will host the 2nd “Party in the Park” event of the summer this evening in downtown Algona. Amy Whitacre with the Chamber says this edition is entitled “Pets on Parade” and will highlight our furry companions.
Along with all the pet related activities, Whitacre says there will also be a pie baking contest as part of the evening festivities.
Party in the Park will run from 6-8 PM this evening on the Carnegie Library Lawn along Nebraska Street in downtown Algona. For more information, you can contact the Chamber office at 515-295-7201. The third and final Party in the Park for the summer will be held on Wednesday, August 6th.
