—-If you were unable to catch the Emmetsburg Main Street Community Theatre’s performance of Chicago last week, you will want to act quickly as tickets for this weekend’s shows are going fast. Beanie Bode plays lawyer Billy Flynn, a part made famous by the late Jerry Orbach on Broadway and Richard Gere in the 2002 film version.
Teresa Alesch plays Velma Kelly, a role that won Catherine Zeta Jones an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2002. She says getting to play this role is amazing on multiple levels.
Alesch says so much goes into a performance like this that many simply don’t recognize.
Friday’s performance is sold out, and now the Sunday afternoon show is sold out as well, but tickets remain for Saturday at 7:30 PM inside the Dinges Van Oosbree Performing Arts Center in Emmetsburg. Tickets are just $10 and you can purchase them in advance at the link below.
