Individuals Arrested After Sexual Assault

A report in May of a possible sexual assault led to the eventual arrest of two individuals in the Livermore area. According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was conducted after the report of possible sexual assault, and as a result, 37-year-old Dixie Jean Niles and 37-year-old Nathaniel Lee Depew, both of Livermore, were arrested and charged with:

Kidnapping in the first degree, a class A Felony

Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (3 Counts), class B felonies

Child Endangerment (12 counts), aggravated misdemeanors

The investigation is ongoing. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Humboldt County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Fort Dodge/Webster County Cyber Crimes Unit, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa Attorney General’s Office, Humboldt Hospital Emergency Department, Mercy One Child Advocacy Center, and the Livermore Fire Department.
