–A scholarship fund to benefit students in Kossuth County is being established in the name of Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram with a day of fundraising scheduled for early September. Lara Cram says they have a fun run and golf outing on Saturday, September 13th to go along with a live and silent auction to help get the scholarship fund off the ground.

The scholarship will be available to any Kossuth County student who plans to pursue a career in agriculture.

Along with establishing the new scholarship, Cram says a portion of the funds will go to the Iowa Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) organization.

Anyone interested in the golf outing that day can contact Eagle Hills to see if any spots remain open, as it is limited to 27 teams. The silent auction that day will run from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. If you would like to contribute to the silent auction, you can contact Marissa Miller with the Algona Police Department 515-295-3515 of Nicole Taffe at 515-320-1216. A QR code can be found on the event flyer for anyone who can’t attend but would like to make a monetary contribution to the scholarship fund.
