–A fire caused extensive damage to an Algona home Saturday night that also destroyed a pair of vehicles in the driveway.
Firefighters were paged to the 1000 block of East State Street around 7:40 PM Saturday, and law enforcement officials quickly blocked off the area to keep the public at a safe distance.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, as firefighters were on the scene for two hours. Officials have not released whether anyone was injured in the blaze or how it may have started.
