–A Kossuth County man recently claimed a large prize from the Iowa Lottery in the Powerball game.
The lottery announced that Edward Beisch of Fenton won $150,000 in the Powerball drawing on September 22nd. Beisch matched 4 of the 5 white balls that night, and his initial $50,000 prize ended up being $150,000 because he chose the $1 Powerplay option.
Beisch purchased the winning ticket at the Kwik Star along Highway 9 in Estherville and claimed his prize last week at the lottery’s regional office in Mason City.
Powerball is played in 48 states across the country with drawings held each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
