–A Western Iowa man who was wanted on charges out of Osceola County was taken into custody late last week after authorities learned he was staying at a residence in Ruthven.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received information on Thursday, October 9th, that 46-year-old Jamie Lee Wiersma of Merrill was staying at 1102 Scott Street in Ruthven. Wiersma was wanted on charges of Escaping from Custody and Probation Violation.

After obtaining a search warrant for the address, members of the Multi-Agency Response Team arrested Wiersma and booked him into the Palo Alto County Jail. Along with the outstanding warrants, Wiersma is now facing an additional charge of Interference with Official Acts.
