–Kossuth County Conservation officials will host their annual Halloween Hike Saturday night at Smith Lake. Naturalist Billie Willie tells KLGA News they normally have a theme for this family-friendly event each year, but this year the event will be more like a greatest hits album.
Willie says they will have hikes starting every five minutes between 7-8:30 PM at the Nature Center.
Temps are forecasted to be in low 40’s Saturday night, so Willie says to dress accordingly.
Saturday’s event is completely free of charge and participants are invited to enjoy popcorn and apple cider either before or after they go out. Hikes leave every five minutes between 7-8:30 PM.
