–Preparations are underway for the 25th annual “Stuff the Trailer” food drive to benefit the Kossuth County Food Pantry that will be held next month. This year’s event is being held outside of the KLGA/KLGZ studios on Nebraska Street in downtown Algona, and during their meeting on Monday, the Algona City Council approved the closure of parking spaces in the area on that day. KLGA/KLGZ Owner and General Manager Bernie Merrill addressed the council prior to their vote and discussed the plan for that day.
The unpaved parking lot at the corner of Jones and Nebraska Streets is where the trailer will be located during the food drive.
The 25th “Stuff the Trailer” food drive will be held from 7AM-6PM on Friday, November 14th, with all monetary and food donations going to benefit the Kossuth County Food Pantry.
