–State Representative Henry Stone, a Republican from Forest City, recently announced that he will seek a 4th term in 2026.
Stone represents Iowa House District 9, which includes all of Winnebago and Emmet, to go along with most of Kossuth County, including the city of Algona. In his campaign announcement, Stone said he is running again because he believes this is a critical time for the state of Iowa.
Stone was first elected to the Iowa House in 2020 and has served as the House Majority Whip since 2022. He currently serves on the Administration and Rules, Appropriations, Education, Ethics, and Judiciary committees.
Stone spent 22 years in the US Air Force, deploying four times to the Middle East while serving four additional tours overseas.
