–Multiple law enforcement agencies from across Northwest Iowa were involved with a pair of simultaneous drug searches late last week in Palo Alto County that resulted in five drug related arrests.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, officers executed a search warrant at a residence 5 miles west of Curlew at 6:02 AM on Thursday, October 30th. The warrant stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation.
As a result of the search, officers arrested 57-year-old Patrick Keith Johnson and 48-year-old Amber Marie Polson, both of Curlew, on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine-under 5 grams (Class C Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
At 6:03 AM Thursday, a search warrant was executed at 1207 Center Street in Ruthven, also part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. As a result of the search, officers arrested 43-year-old Joshua Allen Roelofsen and 46-year-old Lindsay Michele Douglas, both of Ruthven, on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine-under 5 grams (Class C Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 18-year-old Colby James Roelofson was also taken into custody following the search on a charge of Marijuana possession-1st offense.
All of the apprehended individuals were booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
The Multi Agency Response Team, which includes the Algona Police Department and the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, assisted with the Curlew search, while agents from the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force took part in the Ruthven search.
