–The Kossuth Regional Health Center Foundation’s “Legacy Ball” fundraiser brought in a record amount when it was held this past weekend.
The 23rd annual event was held on Saturday, November 1st, and saw more than 215 guests attend at the Columbia Events Center in Algona.
This year’s event, with the theme of “Emerald Club”, raised just over $104,000 to benefit the foundation’s endowment fund. More than $10,000 of that total came from the silent auction, which featured items like dinner parties, weekend getaways, tickets to musical and sporting events, home décor, and a variety of food and beverage packages.
During the event, the foundation honored members of the KRHC Auxiliary as their 2025 Legacy Legends. The auxiliary has been supporting the medical center since the opening of St. Ann’s Hospital in 1949. The auxiliary has donated over $729,000 for equipment and hospital programs since 1973, which is as far back as records go.
The KRHC Foundation uses interest from their endowment fund to support critical needs at KRHC. Last year, donor support funded a new chemistry analyzer for the lab.
