–An Emmet County man is facing domestic assault charges following an alleged incident late last week in Swea City.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in Swea City just after 8 PM on Friday, November 14th. Following a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 34-year-old Ethan Robert Eisenbacher of Estherville on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault while Displaying or Using a Weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications, a Simple Misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges that Deputies found a female victim and two children outside the residence without shoes or proper clothing for the weather when they arrived. The female victim told Deputies the defendant would not allow her to get keys for the car, coats for the kids, and was withholding her cell phone so she couldn’t call for help.
The complaint also alleges that a physical altercation had taken place where Eisenbacher had grabbed the victim and made verbal threats while holding a knife.
He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. A no contact order has been issued to prevent Eisenbacher from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
