–The Chips Off the Old Block woodworking group is currently holding their fundraising auction at the Algona Public Library, with over 80 unique items up for bid. CHIPS member Ron Matz tells KLGA News this is the only fundraiser the group holds each year.

Each of the items up for bid is handcrafted and would make a great gift this holiday season.

Anyone who enjoys woodworking can find more information about the Chips Off the Old Block at the auction, including how to become a member.

The auction items are on display inside the Algona Public Library, with bidding set to end at noon on Saturday, December 20th. Winning bidders can pick up their items at that time and have them under the tree this Christmas. This past year, the Chips donated $6,500 to local organizations alone and have contributed over $100,000 since the group was formed back in 1993.
